Job Requirements: • Develop core technology, including active participation in new solutions, the refinement of existing code, and the optimization of dynamic web content. • Help write design specifications, programming specifications, and documentation. • Develop and maintain web applications written in a Java/J2EE platform environment, operating on a variety of platforms (Windows, UNIX, & LINUX). • Collaborate with product/project management to produce functional specifications, including feasibility assessments, engineering time estimates, and strategic value assessments. • Must be able to travel to support customer projects. We are seeking candidates with the following skills and experience: • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on Java development including developing web applications or J2EE applications. • Implementation and design experience with J2EE and related platform technologies, (TomCat, JBOSS, JMS, JMX, Spring, Hibernate, EJB, etc) web services. • Knowledge of SQL and relational databases; MySQL preferred. • A passion for unit testing and build automation. • A self-starter, motivated, and capable of multi-tasking between projects. • Can work in a team environment as well as individually with minimal supervision. • Demonstrated decision-making and leadership abilities. • Strong organizational and problem solving abilities. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • BS in Computer Science or equivalent required.
